What we Do
At Frank Gallino Post 130, we support veterans, families, and the community through events, programs, and fundraisers. You will find us in our local community in all kind of events, on holidays, in parades, etc. Contact us at our home base in the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building.
The Post financially supports local veterans & their families in need with our emergency fund.
The proceeds from our monthly fundraising dinners sponsor local groups like Boy & Girl Scout troops, the Auxiliary projects, Boys and Girls State programs, and many more.
We collaborate with Nevada County Veteran Service Officer and local veteran groups, such as the VVA, Marine Corps League, VFW, to assist veterans with individual needs.
Our all volunteer Honor Guard & Color Guard perform final services for deceased veterans involving the firing of three volleys, folding of the flag and the playing of taps and bagpipes for various types of memorial services, at various venues.
The Post sponsors the annual Stand Down event in support of at risk & homeless veterans and their families.
The Post hosts occasional music concerts, dances, karaoke, car shows, golf tournaments, BBQs and much more.
Our bowling alley and cocktail lounge are available to rent for private & corporate events.
